Domains & SSL

Add custom domains, free SSL certificates, and force HTTPS.

Domains & SSL

Adding a Custom Domain

Open your site's Domains tab and enter your domain (e.g. example.com — without www). Then log in to your registrar and create an A record pointing to the IP address shown. Propagation typically takes 5–30 minutes.

www vs. Non-www

Add both example.com and www.example.com if you want both to resolve. Set one as primary and the other redirects automatically. We recommend the non-www version as primary for cleaner URLs.

Free SSL Certificates

SSL is issued automatically via Let's Encrypt once your domain's DNS resolves to our servers. There is nothing to configure — certificates renew before expiry, also automatically.

Forcing HTTPS

All traffic is permanently redirected from HTTP to HTTPS at the server level before WordPress is involved. Ensure any hardcoded HTTP links in your theme or database are updated to avoid mixed-content warnings.

DNS Verification Status

The Domains tab shows a DNS verified badge once your A record points correctly to our servers. If verification is stuck, check for conflicting CNAME records or a Cloudflare proxy (orange cloud) masking the real IP.
