WorkMore Media Folders adds virtual folders to the WordPress Media Library: the kind you can drag files into, nest, color, star and search, without ever touching the files on disk. Because the folders are virtual, organizing 10,000 files takes seconds, no URL changes, and deactivating the plugin leaves your site exactly as it was.

Folders that behave like folders

One integration at the WordPress media layer means the same folders appear in the Media Library grid, its list view and the media modal — the tree beside the files, the folders as tiles or chips above them — so it works in Gutenberg, the Classic Editor, WooCommerce, Elementor and Flatsome without per-builder hacks. Uploads land in the folder you are viewing.

Fast at scale

Benchmarked at 50,000 attachments: folder tree, search, filtering and sorting all answer in well under 300ms. Sorting by file size uses its own index, which you can build from the settings screen in resumable batches.

WorkMore Media Folders loads nothing on your public site: no CSS, no JavaScript, no hooks. Verified by automated test on every release.

Easy migration, easy exit

Import folders from FileBird, Real Media Library, HappyFiles, Folders by Premio, Wicked Folders or Enhanced Media Library (categories). Imports are resumable and idempotent, and your old plugin’s data is never modified, so you can switch back anytime. Uninstall (with the opt-in cleanup setting) removes every trace.

Source code

The plugin’s JavaScript ships minified for performance; the human-readable source is included in the plugin’s src/ directory together with the build configuration (vite.config.js).

Pro add-on

Everything above is free and complete. A separate Pro plugin, sold on workmore.connextsystem.com, adds cloud storage offload (Cloudflare R2 or any S3-compatible service), ZIP downloads of folders and selections, folder sizes, auto-organize rules, per-folder role permissions and a library insights dashboard. Inside this plugin the add-on is only mentioned on the “Upgrade to Pro” settings tab and on clearly labeled menu entries that link to that page; nothing here is locked or limited.
