TrueSift Ad Detect

TrueSift Ad Detect helps publishers respond to ad blocking without turning the website into a wall. It checks the browser quietly and gives you control over what happens only when blocking is confidently confirmed.

The banner can be matched to your website with light, dark or custom colors, adjustable width, corner radius, typography and six placement options. A live preview in the WordPress admin helps you see the result before saving.

TrueSift uses a fail-open approach. Only a confirmed blocked result triggers the action you selected. clear, limited, unknown, invalid responses and scanner or network failures allow the visitor to continue normally.

The Scanner V2 runtime is loaded locally from the plugin. Only the public probe resources are requested from the TrueSift scanner service.

TrueSift Ad Detect does not create a detection history in WordPress. If a visitor dismisses the optional reminder banner, only the reminder expiry is stored in browser localStorage. Content protection runs locally in the browser and does not send copied content to TrueSift.

External service

AdBlock detection is disabled by default. When a WordPress administrator enables detection, the visitor browser contacts the public TrueSift scanner service at https://ad-detect.truesift.de to request neutral and ad-specific probe resources. These requests are necessary for the AdBlock detection feature.

Like ordinary web requests, the scanner service processes standard connection metadata such as the visitor IP address and HTTP request headers. The WordPress plugin does not send a WordPress user account, site secret, management token, form content or detection history to the scanner service.

When detection is enabled, the browser requests probe resources from the public TrueSift scanner service. Standard network metadata is processed by that service as part of normal HTTP delivery. The plugin stores only administrator configuration in WordPress. A dismissed banner stores its reminder expiry only in browser localStorage. Content protection settings act locally in the browser. If source attribution is enabled, the current page URL is added to the clipboard locally; copied content is not sent to TrueSift.

this WordPress plugin.

The distributed scanner artifact is accompanied by
assets/js/truesift-scanner.v2.0.0.manifest.json, which records the scanner
version, public API version, bundle format, JavaScript target and SHA-256 of
the exact JavaScript artifact included with this plugin.
