Synterial SMS Notifications for Amelia routes booking SMS notification payloads to Twilio using your Twilio Account SID and Auth Token.

The current integration listens for Amelia SMS notification data using Amelia’s amelia_manipulate_sms_data filter. The plugin does not modify Amelia files and uses the WordPress HTTP API.

Features:

  • Route booking SMS notifications to Twilio.
  • Use a Twilio phone number or Messaging Service SID.
  • Send a test SMS from the settings screen.
  • Keep booking SMS history/log records in sync after Twilio accepts the message.
  • No external PHP dependencies.

External services

This plugin connects to the Twilio Programmable Messaging API to send SMS messages through the Twilio account configured by the site administrator.

Data is sent to Twilio when an administrator sends a test SMS from the plugin settings screen, or when the plugin is enabled and a supported booking SMS notification is routed through Twilio.

The data sent to Twilio can include the recipient phone number, SMS message body, configured sender phone number or Messaging Service SID, the Twilio Account SID in the API endpoint, and the Twilio Account SID/Auth Token in the HTTP Authorization header.
