Simplio3D Product Configurator

Simplio3D is a 3D product configurator and CPQ platform. This plugin brings your Simplio3D projects into WordPress as native blocks that you arrange like any other content, and connects them to WooCommerce.

Simplio3D stays responsible for your 3D models, materials, option logic, conditional rules, pricing and requests. WordPress controls the page layout, the styling and the store.

Blocks (Simplio3D v3)

Find them in the block inserter under Simplio3D:

• Viewer — the interactive 3D view of a project.
• Options — one option from your project (material, colour, size, text, upload, toggle…). Add one block per option and place them anywhere: next to the viewer, below it, in columns.
• Price — the live configuration price.
• Summary — the current configuration in plain words.
• Submit / Add to Cart — send a quote request through Simplio3D, or add the configuration to the WooCommerce cart.

All blocks of a configurator share one live configuration: changing a material in an Options block instantly updates the 3D view, the price, the summary and what goes into the cart — without reloading the page. Several configurators can live on the same page.

Highlights

• Connect your Simplio3D account securely: you sign in on app.simplio3d.ai and approve the site. No passwords or API keys are copied into WordPress.
• Pick projects and options from visual lists — no IDs, tokens or JSON to paste.
• Blocks added after the Viewer pick up its project automatically.
• Supports Simplio3D conditional logic: options and choices show, hide and limit themselves automatically.
• Secure WooCommerce pricing: the shopper’s browser never sets the price. When a configuration is added to the cart, your WordPress server asks Simplio3D to validate it and calculate the price.
• Configuration details and a picture of the configuration appear in the cart, checkout, order emails and WooCommerce → Orders.
• Quote requests go to your Simplio3D Requests with your usual email, PDF and webhook settings.
• Augmented reality: shoppers place the configured product in their room — on iPhone and iPad (AR Quick Look) and Android (Google Scene Viewer), or from a computer with a QR code that opens the same page on their phone with the same configuration.
• A floating toolbar on the 3D view — configuration summary, AR, dimensions, reset view, snapshot, full screen and reset configuration — shown as set in your Simplio3D project, or turned on/off per Viewer block.
• Dimensions: W / H / D labels around the product show the sizes shoppers type into Number Input options (e.g. “W: 120 cm”) and follow the camera.
• Responsive and touch friendly, with a separate mobile viewer height.
• Starter layouts (block patterns), per-block scoped Custom CSS, and a [simplio3d] shortcode for page builders.
• The 3D engine loads only on pages with a Viewer block, only when it scrolls into view.

Existing users: Legacy mode

Sites that used earlier versions of this plugin (the [simplio3d_configurator] shortcode and the app.simplio3d.com platform) stay in Legacy mode after updating — your pages, WooCommerce setup and orders keep working exactly as before. When you are ready, Simplio3D → Migration scans your site, shows everything that uses the legacy integration and lets you switch to Simplio3D v3. Switching never rewrites your content and can be undone.

External services

This plugin connects to the Simplio3D platform (https://app.simplio3d.ai), a service operated by Simplio3D, which is required for Simplio3D v3 blocks to work:

• Account connection — when an administrator clicks “Connect Simplio3D”, the browser opens app.simplio3d.ai to sign in and approve the site. WordPress then exchanges a one-time code (server to server) for a site token that is stored encrypted in your database. Sent: your site URL, site name and the plugin version.
• Editor data — while you edit pages, your WordPress server requests your project list, project summaries and default prices from the Simplio3D API using the site token.
• Configurator display — visitors’ browsers load the published (shared) project data and 3D model files from Simplio3D servers. Sent: the project’s public share link and the page’s address (so owners can restrict which domains may embed a project).
• Add to Cart — your WordPress server sends the chosen options to Simplio3D to validate the configuration and calculate the price. No customer personal data is sent.
• Submit (quote requests) — the visitor’s browser sends the configuration and the form details the visitor enters (for example name and email address) to Simplio3D, where they are stored in the project owner’s Requests.
• Augmented reality (AR) — only when a visitor chooses “View in your space”: their browser exports the configured 3D model and uploads it to Simplio3D, which keeps it for 24 hours; for the QR code on a computer the chosen options are stored with it so the phone can open the same configuration. No personal data is sent. On Android the model’s link is then opened in Google Scene Viewer (Google Play Services for AR — Google terms: https://policies.google.com/terms, privacy: https://policies.google.com/privacy); on iPhone and iPad Apple’s AR Quick Look shows it on the device. If the project owner turned on AR analytics in Simplio3D, anonymous AR usage events (the event, device type and screen size) are sent to Simplio3D.

In Legacy mode the [simplio3d_configurator] shortcode embeds a configurator from app.simplio3d.com (the Simplio3D v1 platform) in an iframe, and WooCommerce order updates are sent to the order link provided by that configurator.
