MyLiveChat adds a live chat widget to your WordPress site. Visitors click the chat button and reach you directly; you answer from a browser, desktop app or mobile app.

The plugin stores your MyLiveChat Site ID and outputs the chat code on your pages. Chat itself runs on MyLiveChat’s servers, so there is nothing to host and nothing to keep patched.

Customer support without a help desk to run

Chats arrive in a console that works like an inbox: departments route a question to the right
people, canned responses save the answers you type every day, and a chat can be transferred to a
colleague mid-conversation. Visitors can send files, and you can send them back. Anything that
arrives while you are offline becomes a message with the visitor’s email address on it, so nothing
is lost between one working day and the next.

A help centre inside the chat window

Your own articles are searchable from the widget, so the common questions are answered before
anyone waits for a person. The same articles feed the AI assistant, which means the answers it
gives are yours rather than invented.

Built for a WooCommerce shop

The chat code loads site-wide, so it covers shop, product, cart and checkout pages. Visitor
monitoring shows which product someone is looking at while you are talking to them, and a
proactive invitation can be aimed at the checkout page alone – the page where an unanswered
question costs an order.

Speaks your customers’ language

The chat window itself is translated into forty languages and follows the visitor’s own setting,
so a German or Indonesian visitor reads the widget in their language with nothing to configure.
Chats can also reach you through Telegram or LINE if you would rather answer from an app you
already have open.

Your data

Chat history is kept on the MyLiveChat side so you do not carry it in your WordPress database,
and the widget has a setting to keep visitor chat data out of the browser’s local storage for
sites that would rather it was not there.

Pricing

One agent is free forever, with unlimited chats and unlimited websites. Paid plans start at $15 per month and add seats, remove the “Powered by MyLiveChat” badge, and allow a custom chat icon and header. The AI assistant is an optional add-on.

External service

This plugin is a client for the MyLiveChat hosted service at https://www.mylivechat.com. Activating the widget loads a script from mylivechat.com and, once a chat starts, from the MyLiveChat subdomain assigned to your account. Chat messages and the visitor context shown to your agents are processed by that service.
