MINRETURNS — Returns and Exchanges

MINRETURNS connects your WooCommerce store to the MINRETURNS returns and exchanges service. Customers can start a return from their orders. Your team reviews requests and manages decisions in MINRETURNS.

The connector is free. A MINRETURNS account is required. MINRETURNS offers a trial and paid service plans; see https://minreturns.com/pricing. Installing this plugin does not purchase a subscription.

Store connection

• Connect through the standard WooCommerce authorization screen instead of copying API keys manually.
• Confirm the organization that will receive your store data in MINRETURNS.
• View API access, order and catalog synchronization, webhook activity and customer-button status.
• View the connected store, organization, last synchronization, last webhook and software versions.
• Check the connection, open MINRETURNS or disconnect from the plugin screen.
• Keep the existing manual setup in an expandable advanced-settings section.

Customer links and notifications

• Add a returns link to My Account orders and the customer order page.
• Optionally include a durable portal link in WooCommerce emails.
• Generate short-lived HMAC-signed customer links for supported order statuses.
• Show authorized store administrators a dismissible notification about a new return, with a link to its record in MINRETURNS.
• Keep return decisions, approvals and financial actions in MINRETURNS.

Notifications are polled periodically using WordPress cron and on visits to the plugin screen. Delivery depends on cron activity and connectivity; notifications are not instant push messages.

The plugin supports WooCommerce High-Performance Order Storage (HPOS). HTTPS and PHP OpenSSL are required for automatic connection.

External service and data use

This plugin uses https://minreturns.com to provide the integration. External calls begin when you connect or configure the service, run a diagnostic check, use a connected customer link or maintain an existing connection. Configured WooCommerce webhooks also send events to MINRETURNS.

During authorization, WooCommerce sends dedicated Read/Write REST API credentials to MINRETURNS. Your WordPress administrator password is not sent. The Read/Write permission is broad; it allows the service to create webhooks and perform supported store operations. Review the WooCommerce permission screen before approval.

The connection exchanges your store URL, organization selection, a random authorization state, a one-time connection code and integration credentials. Connection checks send WordPress, WooCommerce and plugin versions. The service uses the granted WooCommerce API access to synchronize orders and catalog data. Order data can include customer contact and address details, line items, totals and statuses. Catalog data can include products, variations, prices and stock information.

Webhooks send order and product event payloads for order.created, order.updated, product.created and product.updated. Signed customer links contain an installation identifier, order reference, expiry and signature. Diagnostic checks may use a store order to verify signed access. The plugin retrieves short return notifications, including request and order references, a decision summary, amount and a MINRETURNS link; acknowledging a notification sends its identifier.

Automatic connection credentials and manual secrets are stored encrypted with a key derived from WordPress salts. Changing those salts can require reconnecting the integration. MINRETURNS stores service-side credentials encrypted. Customer and order data handling is governed by the service documents:
