MasjidHub – Prayer Times & Mosque Widgets

MasjidHub – Prayer Times & Mosque Widgets is the official WordPress plugin for the MasjidHub service at masjidhub.se. It connects a mosque’s WordPress site to its MasjidHub account and displays mosque-managed information through responsive shortcodes while keeping MasjidHub as the authoritative source.

A MasjidHub account and a WordPress connection token are required. The plugin does not load remote JavaScript, CSS, fonts or executable code.

External Service

This plugin connects to the MasjidHub service to retrieve the mosque information shown by its shortcodes. The service is necessary for the plugin’s main functionality.

The plugin makes a request when an administrator tests the connection, manually clears the cache and reloads a widget, or when a visitor opens a page containing a MasjidHub shortcode and no valid cached response exists.

Each request may send:

• The connection token entered by a WordPress administrator.
• The WordPress site’s home URL.
• The requested resource, language, year and month, when applicable.
• The connector version in the request headers.
• The site’s server IP address as part of normal internet communication.

MasjidHub uses this information to authenticate the mosque and return its configured prayer times, iqamah rules, Jumu’ah sessions, Ramadan times, Eid information and related display data. The plugin does not add analytics or visitor-tracking cookies.

Privacy

The plugin stores its API URL, connection token, display defaults and cache duration in the WordPress database. API responses are stored as temporary WordPress transients. These settings and tracked cache entries are removed when the plugin is deleted through WordPress.

The plugin also supplies suggested privacy-policy text under Settings > Privacy so site administrators can describe the MasjidHub integration on their own site.

Source Code

The plugin includes the complete, human-readable PHP, JavaScript and CSS source used at runtime. No files are minified or obfuscated, and no compilation or build process is required to modify or regenerate the distributed assets.
