Manage/Remove Version Number from CSS & JS gives you full control over the version numbers appended to your website’s CSS and JavaScript files.
By default, WordPress appends a version query string (for example, ?ver=6.8) to enqueued CSS and JavaScript files. Depending on your caching strategy, you may want to remove these version numbers or replace them with the file’s last modified timestamp for better cache invalidation.
This lightweight plugin provides simple configuration options without requiring any code changes.
