Lessonbay SCORM Player for LearnDash

Attach a Storyline or SCORM 1.2 package to a LearnDash Topic, and learners launch it from the topic page in a player that runs inside your site. Results come back from the package and are stored against the learner’s attempt.

What the plugin does:

• Upload, replace and manage a package from the LearnDash Topic editor
• Validate and extract the ZIP, and harden the extracted files against direct execution
• Launch the package in a tokenised player, checked against LearnDash access rules on every launch
• Record what the package reports: score, completion status and pass or fail, exactly as sent
• Save suspend data so a learner can resume an interrupted attempt where they left off
• Show learners their attempt status, attempt count and activity on the topic page
• Give administrators a report grouped by learner and topic, with the best score for each
• Let learners complete a topic with the standard LearnDash “Mark complete” button

Completion stays in the learner’s hands: this plugin records results and leaves the LearnDash button in place. Automatic topic completion, completion rules, attempt limits and detailed reporting are in a separate Pro add-on distributed from our own site.

Pro add-on

Lessonbay SCORM Player Pro is a separate, paid add-on. It is not needed to use this plugin, and nothing here is locked without it. It adds:

• Automatic LearnDash topic completion from the package result
• Completion rules per topic, including a passing-score threshold
• A limit on attempts per learner
• Detailed reports with every attempt, CSV export and attempt deletion

External services

This plugin does not connect to any external service. Packages are stored and served from your own site, and no data leaves your installation.

Usage

1. Open a LearnDash Topic in the WordPress admin.
2. In the SCORM package box, tick Enable SCORM/Storyline module on this topic.
3. Upload a package ZIP, or pick one already uploaded to this topic.
4. Choose whether learners may resume an open attempt, and set the launch button label.
5. Save the Topic.
6. Learners with access to the topic see the launch box on the front end.
7. Attempts appear under Tools -> SCORM report.

Privacy

Lessonbay SCORM Player stores learner attempt records in custom database tables inside your WordPress site.

Stored data can include:

• WordPress user ID
• Topic/course/lesson IDs linked to attempts
• Attempt status and timestamps
• Runtime values needed for resume/tracking

None of it is sent anywhere. The plugin makes no outbound requests.
