GiveBlocks lets organizations create donation campaigns and ticketed events directly in WordPress.
Features include:
Each organization connects its own Stripe account. Stripe is responsible for payment processing, refunds, disputes, and chargebacks for that connected account. GiveBlocks charges a 1% platform fee on each successful donation or ticket transaction, separate from Stripe processing fees. Campaign editors can optionally let supporters cover the applicable processing and platform fees.
This plugin connects to the following external services only when the site administrator configures or uses the related functionality.
GiveBlocks Platform API (https://api.giveblocks.net) is used to claim and authenticate a WordPress site, create Stripe Connect onboarding links, connect an existing Stripe account, create payment intents and subscriptions, process refunds, and retrieve connected-account status. It receives the site URL and contact email during site claiming/onboarding; the connected Stripe account ID; and the transaction amount, currency, campaign ID, payment intent or subscription ID, and refund reason when applicable. The API applies a 1% GiveBlocks platform fee to successful donation and ticket transactions. Recurring donations also send the donor name and email so Stripe can create the customer and subscription. The service is required for Stripe Connect payment functionality. Terms: https://giveblocks.net/api-terms-of-service Privacy: https://giveblocks.net/api-privacy-policy
Stripe (https://stripe.com) is used for Stripe Connect onboarding and payment processing. The plugin loads Stripe.js from https://js.stripe.com/v3/ on public donation and ticket checkout pages. Payment card information is submitted directly to Stripe through Stripe’s payment interface; it is not stored by this plugin. Stripe receives the payment and connected-account data needed to process the transaction. Terms: https://stripe.com/legal Privacy: https://stripe.com/privacy
QR Code API by goQR.me (https://api.qrserver.com) is used to generate ticket QR-code images for donor-facing ticket displays and receipts. When a QR image is requested, the ticket code is sent to the service in the image URL along with the requested image dimensions. The service is only contacted when a ticket QR image is displayed.
