Facécie — Facturation électronique
The diagnostic: your status in one sentence and a tick, then the summary — entity, SIRET, postal address, electronic invoicing addresses with the default address choice.
Since 1 September 2026, every company established in France must be able to receive its invoices electronically. To do so, the company has to be listed in the official directory (the “annuaire”) and attached there to a platform accredited by the French tax administration.
This plugin answers one question, and answers it in a verifiable way:
Can your company be reached?
You enter the SIRET number of your establishment. The plugin queries the official directory and tells you:
- whether you have an active receiving address;
- whether an address is announced but not yet effective (a registration is in progress — often initiated by your accountant);
- whether you are absent from the directory, meaning no registration has been made;
- which addresses you have when there are several — for your establishment, for your legal entity, and for each of your other establishments.
A dashboard widget shows your status at a glance. With WooCommerce, the postal address known to the directory can be copied to the store address in one click.
The diagnostic is free and requires no account.
The plugin’s interface is in French: the regulation it covers applies to companies established in France only.
What this plugin does not do
It does not send any invoice, does not replace your invoicing solution, and does not register you with any platform. It is a diagnostic, not an invoicing service.
External services
This plugin queries a remote service. This is necessary: the official French e-invoicing directory can only be consulted through a platform accredited by the tax administration, not directly from your website.

- What is sent: the SIRET number you enter (14 digits), a randomly generated installation identifier, and your site URL.
- When: when you save a SIRET, and when the result stored on your site (6 hours) has expired while one of the plugin’s screens is open. Never on the public pages of your site, never without an administrator being on a plugin screen.
- What comes back: the status of your company in the directory, its electronic invoicing addresses, and the postal address of its establishments as the directory knows it.
- What is never sent: no order data, no customer data, no email address, no personal data.
- What the service keeps: the result of each lookup for 24 hours (so the directory is not queried needlessly), the identifier and URL of each site to enforce a daily lookup limit, and usage counters. IP addresses are not stored in clear text.
- Why an installation identifier: it carries the usage limit of the free service. It does not identify a person and is not linked to any account. Uninstalling the plugin removes it from your site.

The service in turn queries the official directory through a platform accredited by the French tax administration, using the standardised AFNOR XP Z12-013 interfaces. SIREN and SIRET numbers are public company identifiers; for a sole trader they may constitute personal data under the GDPR, and are handled as such.
Privacy
The plugin sets no cookie, tracks no visitor and adds nothing to the public pages of your site. It stores in your WordPress database: the SIRET you entered, the electronic invoicing address chosen as default, an installation identifier and its key, the service URL, and the last result obtained (for 6 hours). Uninstalling removes everything.
