An important part of this plugin is that user preferences are saved after leaving the site using browser localStorage. This means that you do not have to add anything new to your site’s Privacy Policy and Data Protection Policy.

GDPR Compatible: The plugin is fully compatible with GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation). User preferences are stored locally in the browser and never transmitted to external servers. No personal data is collected, stored, or processed.

CCPA Compliant: The plugin complies with CCPA (California Consumer Privacy Act) requirements. No personal information is collected or shared with third parties.

No External Data Transmission: All accessibility settings and user preferences remain on the user’s device. The only exception is the optional Usage Analytics module, which can be configured with strict GDPR mode to disable geolocation tracking.

Privacy Policy Friendly: Since no personal data is collected or transmitted, the plugin does not require any additional privacy policy disclosures. Your existing privacy policy remains sufficient.
