What is EmailFig?
EmailFig is an email marketing service for newsletters and automated emails, free for up to 4,000 contacts. This plugin needs an account: sign up at emailfig.com.
External services
This plugin connects to EmailFig (https://emailfig.com) to list your forms and to add subscribers. Every request from your server carries your API key, and the plugin, WordPress and PHP versions.
- When you use the plugin’s settings or the block editor: your server reads your EmailFig account, forms, lists and custom fields. It reads your custom fields again once a day in the background. Showing a page to a visitor makes no request from your server.
- When a visitor ticks a subscribe checkbox and sends the form (for a comment, once it is approved): your server sends their email address, their name and any answers you mapped to EmailFig custom fields, the list and tags you chose, which form they used, their IP address and the time.
- On pages with an EmailFig form or popup: the visitor’s browser loads the form from EmailFig, and sends what they type into it to EmailFig. EmailFig forms show a small “Powered by EmailFig” link, which paid plans can turn off.
