Dutify settings page in WooCommerce
Dutify improves the international shopping experience for your customers by enabling live duty and tax calculations directly in your WooCommerce checkout.
When a customer from another country places an order, Dutify automatically calculates the applicable import duties, sales taxes, excise taxes, and additional charges, giving your customers full cost transparency before they complete their purchase.
This plugin connects to the Dutify API (https://dutify.com) to calculate import duties and taxes for cross-border WooCommerce orders. This is required for the plugin to function and requires a Dutify API token.
When a duty/tax calculation runs, at the cart, at checkout, and when an administrator uses the “Recalculate Duties & Taxes” button, the following data is sent to the Dutify API:
No data is sent unless the plugin is enabled and an API token is configured.
Separately, when an administrator turns on “Restrict countries” under WooCommerce Dutify Calculation Rules, the plugin fetches the current list of Dutify-supported countries from the Dutify API (https://dutify.com/api/v1/countries) using your API token, so you can choose which destination countries to calculate duty and tax for. This request is only made while an administrator is viewing that settings tab (at most once every 24 hours, or when they click “Sync now”), sends no order or customer data, and does not run unless country restrictions are enabled.
