Come2theweb Article Publisher helps news websites, publishers, reporters, bloggers, and content teams turn a short news summary into a complete WordPress article.

Authorized users submit a short summary through a password-protected frontend form. The plugin sends the submitted information to the Come2theweb service, which generates the article and returns it to WordPress for publishing.

Generated content can include:

  • A complete formatted news article
  • Article headline
  • SEO title
  • SEO meta description
  • Focus keyword
  • Relevant tags
  • Featured image
  • WordPress-ready content

The plugin is designed to help publishers publish quickly without giving every reporter access to the WordPress administration area.

How It Works

  1. Install and activate the plugin.
  2. Register for a free Come2theweb license or enter an existing license key.
  3. Set a password for the frontend publisher form.
  4. Share the publisher form URL and password with authorized reporters.
  5. The reporter submits a news summary and optional image or YouTube URL.
  6. The Come2theweb service processes the submission and generates the article.
  7. The generated article is published as a WordPress post.

Security

The publisher form is protected by a password and WordPress nonces. Site administrators should only share the publisher URL and password with trusted users.

Come2theweb API

This plugin connects to the Come2theweb API hosted at https://come2theweb.com/ to perform the following actions:

License registration (OTP request)

  • When: when the administrator submits the registration form in Settings

License registration (OTP verification)

  • When: when the administrator verifies the registration code

License and model validation

  • When: when the administrator loads the settings page or the frontend form is accessed — cached for 10 minutes to reduce requests

Article generation

QR Code Service (api.qrserver.com / GoQR.me)

The plugin settings page displays a QR code image so administrators can share the publisher form URL with reporters on mobile devices. The image is generated by a third-party service.

  • Service name: GoQR.me QR Code API (operated via api.qrserver.com)
  • What it is used for: Generating a QR code image that encodes the site’s publisher form URL
  • Endpoint: https://api.qrserver.com/v1/create-qr-code/
  • Data sent: Only the publisher form URL (a public URL on the site). No personal data, no license keys, and no reporter content are sent.
  • When: Only when an administrator views the plugin settings page and the publisher form is fully configured (password + license). The request is made by the administrator’s browser loading an image URL; the plugin does not store or log the response.

YouTube

If a reporter enters a YouTube video URL in the publisher form, the plugin generates a standard YouTube embed iframe in the article content. No data is sent directly to YouTube by this plugin — the embed loads YouTube content when a visitor views the published article, subject to YouTube’s own terms and privacy policy.

PayPal

The plugin’s settings page includes an optional Donate button that links to PayPal. No data is sent to PayPal unless the administrator chooses to click the donation button.

Privacy

Article information submitted through the publisher form may be transmitted to Come2theweb for AI processing and related service functions. Specifically:

  • The article title hint and news summary entered by the reporter are sent to Come2theweb for article generation.
  • The selected category name and language are included in that request.
  • The site URL and license key are sent with every API request to Come2theweb.
  • The administrator’s email address is sent once during free license registration.

No data is collected or stored by this plugin itself beyond WordPress options (license key, password hash, language settings).

Site owners should inform reporters and other users about this processing where required by applicable privacy laws and their own privacy policies. Site owners should add a section to their own privacy policy describing that submitted article summaries are sent to Come2theweb for AI processing.

Do not submit passwords, payment information, confidential data, or other sensitive information through the AI publishing form.
