Requirements

You need a free Axlura account and a Site Key (found on your Axlura dashboard under Sites) to connect this plugin. Creating an account and adding a site takes under a minute.

External services

This plugin connects to the Axlura API (axlura.com) to power the accessibility report and the visitor-facing widget. Axlura is the same service this plugin is a connector for; you must create a free Axlura account and Site Key for the plugin to do anything.

Scan trigger and report fetch — when you click “Scan Now” or open the Accessibility settings page in wp-admin, your Site Key and site URL are sent to https://axlura.com/api/wp-plugin-scan.php and https://axlura.com/api/wp-plugin-report.php to start a scan and retrieve the latest accessibility report. This only happens when an admin triggers it or views the settings page — never on front-end visitor page loads.
Site Key verification — your Site Key is sent to https://axlura.com/api/verify-key.php to check it is valid and to look up your account’s plan/trial status, whenever the settings page loads.
Accessibility widget — if you enable “Show the accessibility widget to visitors”, a script is loaded from https://axlura.com/ag.min.js on every front-end page for your visitors. No personal visitor data is sent to load this script beyond the standard request data any script tag sends (e.g. IP address, user agent), which axlura.com’s server sees like any web request.
