Arrow Publisher for Thrds

Arrow Publisher for Thrds Free provides a simple manual publishing workflow for Threads.

Free features include:

• Connect and disconnect an authorised Threads account.
• Test the current Threads connection.
• Search published WordPress Posts.
• Publish one post at a time immediately.
• Use the featured image when available, with text-only fallback.
• Prevent duplicate publishing of content already sent to Threads.
• Free-edition Threads posts include the text: Published with Arrow Publisher for Thrds.

The Premium edition adds automatic publishing, queues, scheduling, multiple public post types, per-post controls, retries/activity management and unbranded publishing.

Only WordPress administrators can manage the Threads connection and publishing actions. State-changing admin and AJAX actions use capability checks and WordPress nonces. The OAuth callback validates a cryptographically random, per-user state value created when the administrator begins the connection.

External Services

This plugin relies on external services to connect to Threads and publish content. These services are contacted only after an administrator explicitly connects Threads or publishes a post.

Arrow Design connection service

The plugin uses the Arrow Design connection service at https://arrowdesign.ie/threads-broker/ to complete the OAuth connection flow. During connection it sends the WordPress site’s return URL, home URL and site name. During the one-time connection claim it sends the OAuth handoff value, state value and return URL. The service returns the authorised Threads account information and access token to the WordPress site.

Meta Threads API

The plugin communicates with the Threads Graph API at https://graph.threads.net/ to test the connected account and publish content. Publishing can send the selected WordPress post text, permalink, the Free-edition attribution text and, when available, the public featured-image URL, together with the authorised Threads access token.
