Allimedia ICO Lookup for WooCommerce adds Company ID (IČO) and VAT ID (DIČ) fields to the WooCommerce checkout. A customer can look up a Czech company by its Company ID and fill the company name, street, city, postal code, and country from the public ARES register.

The plugin supports both the classic shortcode checkout and the WooCommerce block checkout. Order data is saved through the WooCommerce CRUD API for compatibility with High-Performance Order Storage (HPOS).

It is a focused checkout utility with theme-native default styling, optional visual controls, customer-profile prefilling, customer and store-wide ARES request budgets, and no account, API key, tracking, license server, or connection to Allimedia.cz.

External service: ARES

This plugin connects to the public ARES service operated by the Ministry of Finance of the Czech Republic at https://ares.gov.cz/. The connection is made when a customer clicks the lookup button or, if automatic lookup is enabled, after an eight-digit Company ID is entered.

The request sends the entered Company ID in the URL. The standard WordPress HTTP User-Agent may also contain the WordPress version and the store URL. ARES returns public company identification and address data. No ARES account or API key is required, and the plugin does not send the data to Allimedia.cz.

Privacy

The plugin does not track users and does not contact Allimedia.cz. Successful ARES responses are stored in WordPress transients for 24 hours. Temporary per-customer request counters contain only a site-salted hash of the WooCommerce session identifier or IP address and expire after one minute.

Company ID and VAT ID are stored as billing data in the order. For signed-in customers, they are also saved to the customer billing profile for the next purchase.

Company ID and VAT ID are included in WordPress personal data exports. An approved erasure request removes them from the customer billing profile. Their anonymization or removal from orders follows the WooCommerce account erasure and data retention settings, so store retention choices remain in effect.
