External services

abtestkit can optionally connect to the abtestkit.io account service. It does not contact this service until a WordPress administrator explicitly starts or completes a connection, or disconnects an already connected site.

During connection, abtestkit sends the site’s canonical HTTPS origin, WordPress environment type, site display label, a fixed callback URL, and one-time security values to abtestkit.io. The service returns a site-scoped credential, which is stored privately in the WordPress database and is not displayed in the browser. Disconnecting sends the site reference and credential so the service can revoke the connection.

This connection phase does not send test results, visitor events, orders, customer details, page content, selectors, or custom CSS, HTML, or JavaScript. It does not send test-notification email. Local testing remains available if the service is unavailable or disconnected.
