External Services

7SGaleri uses external services only for media selected by a site administrator and for optional sharing links selected by a visitor. The plugin author does not receive this data.

Embedded media players:

When a site administrator adds a supported media URL, 7SGaleri displays a player supplied by that service. The visitor’s browser connects to the selected service when the player is loaded. The service may receive the media URL or identifier, the visitor’s IP address, browser and device information, referrer information, cookies, and other data described in its policies. No player request is made when the administrator has not added content from that service.

Direct external media files:

A site administrator may also enter a direct video or audio file URL, such as an MP4 or MP3 file hosted on another domain. When that content is viewed, the visitor’s browser connects directly to the administrator-selected host to request the media file. That host may receive the requested media URL, the visitor’s IP address, browser and device information, referrer information, cookies, and other data under its own terms and privacy policy. Because the host is selected by the site administrator, the site owner is responsible for disclosing and complying with that host’s applicable terms and privacy policy. No direct external media request is made unless an administrator has configured such a URL.

Optional social sharing:

Sharing links are generated locally. A visitor’s browser connects to the selected service only after the visitor clicks its sharing button. Depending on the selected service, the plugin passes the current content permalink and title; Pinterest may also receive the cover-image URL and a short description. The external service may process the visitor’s IP address, browser and device data, cookies, account information, and the shared values according to its own policies.

Privacy

7SGaleri does not send analytics or usage data to the plugin author.

To reduce duplicate view counts, the plugin stores a first-party cookie for up to 24 hours and a one-way salted fingerprint derived from the visitor’s IP address and browser user-agent string in a WordPress transient for up to six hours. Raw IP addresses and raw user-agent strings are not stored by the plugin.

Third-party embedded players may process visitor data according to the policies listed in the External Services section.
